  • 1.  creating a support ticket in Zendesk

    Hi has anyone used MS Forms/Power Automate to create a support ticket into ZenDesk?
    Looking for any help or example of what to use API or the ZenDesk connector.
    We want to create a form in MS Form with text fields and drop downs with the capability to attach pdf files and have the data and file to create a support ticket in the Zendesk ticketing system.

    Hi Tom,
    I have used the zendesk api to pull ticket info, incl custom fields, by creating my own custom connector. This works pretty well. I have not created tickets or organizations in zendesk yet.

    However I would start by checking the api options from https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/support/introduction.

    What I did was running and testing the api options from a browser 1st, then decoding the json answer to see if the answer makes sense. FinalIy I implemented the options I wanted (GET) into a custom connector, which I am using in PowerApps.

    I havent tried PUT yet, but I suggest you try the PUT syntax from a browser 1st, then either concat the whole PUT string in flow or create a custom conenctor to be used in flow.

    Hi Tom,

    I was wondering if you had found a way to do this. Looking to create a Microsoft Form and then have it create a Zendesk ticket (using Flow).

    I was pulling zendesk tickets using the zendesk api commands (get) within a custom connector, which is working good.

    In order to get this working and get the correct syntax I tried the api commands within a browser, which works ok.

    For creating tickets please review the api syntax (post...), see zendesk documentation Tickets

    You may try out the format in a browser as well.
    Finally using flow I assume you need to capture forms output in json format and do an http post.

    I havent tried this but this is the path I would go.
