Forms to Teams

I am trying to use Forms to create a request process for my sales team. And I would like a post to be created in a Teams channel with the request.
However using the formulas within Power Automate - I couldn't figure out how to make the request show in the teams message - just a link to the responses, which doesn't quite work cause it collates them together.

However I did use the channel email address to post an email that included all the details I want from the request, but now its not giving me a notification when the messages posts to Teams. I am thinking because the message is coming from my email address - and I don't get notifications for my own posts.

Am I correct? Or is there a better way to do this that I haven't figured out yet.

Hi Kaitlen, have you tried the "post teams  message as a flowbot"? I use it frequently and it works well. The message is not from a real user and you will get the correct ones as well.

There is a PowerAutimate Action for the Teams connector that will post to a Channel in Teams
It's called "Post Message in Chat or Channel (Preview)"
You use this with a form much like how you would send an e-mail.

There are a few challenges ..

    • You can post as the flow bot (anonymous) or as a user .. If you pick user it posts as the connection user
    • you can only post into teams that the connection user is a member of.
    • Unfortunately, there is no way to dynamically change who you are and unless you have the Team/Channel ID no way to dynamically post to a different team/channel
